Howdy, and welcome...
Over the past few years, I've been working in a new kind of medium. I used to paint with pigment (no that is not a pork flavored mint gum), but now I paint with light. Thanks to the many new paint programs available, I've been able to accomplish in a very short time what would have taken me many months to paint.
These painting strarted out as a series. I was only going to do a few of them, then move on to something else. The series was called

Post Cards From Eternity

Here is the first in the series. This is from a kind of sub-series. Arizona. It's from here that I start that journey to those other places in the heart. The American Dessert. It's not a place of desolation, but rather, a place of purifying ones self. The dessert is where every prophet is shaped, and every seer and sage is born. It's a hard place to live, but the best and most fertile soil for growing spiritually.

In Poor Man's Clothes
|
The first of these poems is The Miner's Stone of Dreams. This is almost like a story, but it's more like a scene from a moment in time. Here is picture of a man who digs for treasure. He looks for rare gems. The only gem he ever finds for himself, is the rarest gem of all. He finds the very best in himself. He mines for the gemstones of the heart.
